Art Buy The Inch

It’s summertime in Portland!
There are people everywhere. Outdoor coffee shops, the park blocks, the waterfront, and all open spaces are crawling with them. What better time to exploit that fact for fun altruism?

Come on out and let’s have some fun for no money, while fending off rickets and working towards an excellent cause! Think sun, competition and let’s not forget wigs and costumes.

Where: High Noon at Pioneer Square on Sunday, July 22nd

What: Some competitive fundraising for the Art Buy the Inch gallery fund

Why: We love art. We love shenanigans.

Come on….it’ll be fun. When we hit the bar later that night to give out some amazing prizes, you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

In order to get the doors of the gallery open, there is a lot of work that has to be done, in our efforts to gather money for the cause we decided to plan an exciting social event that is unlike any the city of Portland has ever seen. Basically teams of people will be given a stack of limited edition 5"x7" block prints and will be sent out on the streets in a scavenger hunt style competion to help raise some funds to complete the work on the gallery.

Welcome to the Art Buy the Inch website. We specialize in selling small, affordable and original works of art. Our gallery is located in Portland Oregon and is in the proccess of being opened.

We will be featuring a variety of local, national and international artists. The gallery will showcase small original works generally one square inch in size.

Another feature of our gallery is the “pay and walk” model of selling the works. This means if you come in and want to buy a piece of art, you are able to take it home with you at that time.

In addition to selling small works from a variety of artists, we are planning on giving back to the community by offering a variety of art related classes through our gallery. A permanent feature of our gallery is the charity wall where 100% of profits of that artwork back to charity and non-profit art related organizations.
